Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve output and fuel consumption of an engine by providing a changing means changing a timing in which exhaust gas pressure wave is reflected by an exhaust pipe and return to an exhaust gas outlet on each cylinder, and individually operating the each timing changing means based on output of a wall temperature detecting means of each exhaust pipe. SOLUTION: The exhaust pipe 31 in the engine of a motorcycle is once extended in front of the engine, and thereafter curvedly bent and extended in rear of a vehicle. In this case, a wall temperature detecting means 37 is fitted to the exhaust pipe 31 of each cylinder 11 so as to be positioned on the lateral side of the curvedly bent part of the exhaust pipe 31. In a control device 40, temperature difference between the reference temperature of each exhaust pipe based on output of a throttle opening detecting means 36 and an engine speed detecting means 35 and the actual value of the wall temperature is computed. Next a control correcting quantity is read out based on the temperature difference and the engine speed so as to correct an ignition timing basic control quantity, and an ignition plug 16 of each cylinder is controlled so as to adjust the timing in which the exhaust gas pressure wave returns to the exhaust gas outlet 27a. |
