PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mounting device which can easily and safely perform the mounting works of reinforcing steel plates to be attached to the periphery of a bridge pier for increasing the anti-seismic performance of the pier, etc. SOLUTION: A mounting device concerned comprises a self-mobile crane 10 equipped with a boom 11 capable of expanding and shrinking and also rising and falling, a device body 13 supported at the tip of the boom 11 in such a way as rising and falling and also swinging oscillatively round a horizontal shaft, and a rise/fall driving means 17 for the device body 13, wherein the body 13 is furnished with a moving piece 28 capable of oscillatively swinging within a certain range round a shaft perpendicularly intersecting the horizontal shaft. The moving piece 28 is equipped with a right-angle contacting plate part to contact with the outside surface of each right-angle side plate part of reinforcing steel plate 2A, 2B having angle section for locating the plates 2A, 2B so that their longitudinal direction is perpendicular to the horizontal shaft, and the right-angle contacting plate part is fitted with a fixture for fixing the steel plate 2A, 2B removably.
