Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fiber having a cool feeling excellent in washing resistance, absorbing near ultraviolet rays, simultaneously reflecting visible light rays and near infrared rays, protecting skin from ultraviolet rays and providing a cool feeling by heat insulating action. SOLUTION: One or more organic polymer particles having 0.5-15μm average particle diameter selected from the group consisting of a polystyrene, a polyamide, a polyvinyl chloride, a polyolefin, a polyurethane, a polyester, a poly(meth) acrylic acid, its ester, a polyacrylonitrile and an epoxy resin are mixed with a binder such as a polyurethane based binder to prepare a treating solution. A fiber fabric such as cotton broad cloth is immersed in the treating solution, squeezed and dried. The binder in an amount of 1-3wt.%, preferably 1.5-2.0wt.% based on the fiber fabric is cured to give the objective fabric having a cool feeling comprising 1-15wt.%, preferably 2-8wt.% based on the fiber of the organic polymer particles stuck fast to the surface of the fiber.
