Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely and precisely detect the travelling position in relation to travel control of a crane by a simple structure without being affected by slippage, or the like between a travelling wheel and a travelling rail, eliminate the need for code-plates to shorten the cycle time, and contribute to the miniaturization of an end stopper. SOLUTION: By arranging-providing plural traveling position detecting devices 18 each of which generates pulse by the rotation of a different rotary roller from the travelling wheel, and allowing a crane to travel a required distance during the test running, a control device 15 determines the ratios of pulses from the respective travelling position detecting devices 18 and stores the ratios as constants. Then, the ratios of pulses from the respective travelling position detecting devices 18 during the actual travelling of the crane, are determined and compared to the constants. When the comparison results are within the prescribed range, the travel of the crane is regarded as normal, and a control signal 15a is outputted to a travel driving device 16, and when the comparison results are outside the prescribed range, the travel of the crane is regarded as abnormal, and the driving of the crane is stopped.
