Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the quality of a cast slab and to accelerate the casting speed by providing a device accelerating the rotational movement, gas separation and cooling of molten steel at a tundish stopper part in the case of continuously casting molten steel and stably supplying the clean and low-temp. molten steel in a solidified process. SOLUTION: This apparatus is arranged so as to surround the molten steel flowing down the tundish stopper 14 part. The apparatus is constituted of an inclusion removing part 4 for floating up and separating the inclusion by blowing inert gas into the molten steel applied with the rotational movement by an electromagnetic stirring device 1 from a porous plug and an alumina graphite gas blowing zone 2 and a molten steel rotary cooling part 5 for conducting the heat and cooling while giving the rotational movement to the molten steel at the lower part of the inclusion removing part. At the time of executing the continuous casting by using the apparatus, in order to prevent the entrapment of the inclusion and the blow hole into the steel slab, the relation between the molten steel passing cross sectional area and the passing molten steel quantity of the molten steel inclusion removing part 4 is controlled so as to satisfy the relationship (1) or (2). |
