Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a urethanized polysiloxane having excellent heat resistance by reacting a silanol-group-containing polysiloxane with a cyclic silane compound represented by a specified formula, a polyisocyanate compound and a compound represented by a specified formula. SOLUTION: A silanol-group-containing polysiloxane (e.g. polydimethylsilicone) is dissolved in e.g. toluene, and about 0.1-5mol, per g of the silanol groups, of a cyclic silane compound (e.g. 1,1-dimethyl-1-sila-2-oxacyclohexane) represented by formula I (wherein R and R are each H, a halogen or the like; and R is a bivalent organic group) is mixed with the solution under heating. Next, a polyisocyanate compound (e.g. tolylene diisocyanate) and an organotin catalyst are added to the mixture, and the resultant mixture is heated. About 0.5-20mol, per equivalent of the isocyanate groups, of a compound (e.g. 2-hydroxyethyl acrylate) represented by formula II (whereon Y is hydroxyl, amino or the like; R is a bivalent organic group; R is H or an alkyl) is added to the mixture, and the entire mixture is reacted under heating to obtain a urethanized polysiloxane.
