Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat coil which can sufficiently reduce its eddy current loss and can reduce its manufacturing costs. SOLUTION: The flat coil 10 comprises a flat coil 11 which carries on its front and rear sides a pair of two metal cores 13a and 13b of amorphous alloy by means of, for example, insulating adhesive 12a and 12b applied therebetween. In this case, the flat coil 11 is a conductor wound in a coil form in a plane. And the pair of upper and lower metal cores 13a and 13b are divided respectively into two small similar metal cores 130a1 and 13a2, 13b1 and 13b2 along a longitudinal direction (direction W in the drawing) of the flat coil 11 in a slit-like gap 14.
