Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connection structure having sufficient connection strength without being separated during use, simple in connection/connection release operation, having no harmful expanded matter and enabling the reuse of a guide wire in a case connecting an extending guide wire to the end part of the main guide wire inserted in a blood vessel of a patient to use the same in the replacing use of a plurality of catheters in common. SOLUTION: The width of a thin strip material is formed into a coil spring shape allowed to face to a coil axis 7 to form a female engaging part 4 having a straight coil inner hole 6 in the end part 3 of a main guide wire 1 in a protruding state and a male engaging part 5 having a straight shape inserted in the coil inner hole 6 and having a claviform taper shape of which the claviform part 9 has a diameter slightly larger than that of the coil inner hole 6 is formed in the leading end part of an extending guide wire 2 and, by the engagement of the female and male engaging parts 4, 5, the main guide wire 1 and the extending guide wire 2 are connected in a straight form in a freely detachable manner. |
