PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detection agent for detecting a low-concentration carbon monoxide and a detection pipe using it. SOLUTION: This carbon monoxide detection agent is obtained by carrying palladium potassium sulfite and pH indicator carried on silica gel, the pH of the detection agent is adjusted to the alkali color region of the above pH indicator, and carbon monoxide is detected due to the discoloration of the above pH indication agent caused by an acid substance generated due to a reaction occurring when the carbon monoxide contacts the above detection agent. A carbon monoxide detection pipe is manufactured by sealing the detection agent into the glass pipe.
