Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the data quantity of three-dimensional shape data without eliminating information on the boundary of colors in an object by providing a read means, a color boundary discrimination means and a shape data correction means for thinning object shape data except for a part corresponding to the boundary of the colors. SOLUTION: Object shape data MX is reduced by using the means for reading object shape data MX showing the three-dimensional shape of the object, a means for reading a two-dimensional color picture GX1 corresponding to object shape data MX, the means for discriminating the boundary of the colors in the color picture GX1 and the data correction means for thinning object shape data MX except for the part corresponding to the boundary of the colors. Namely, a three-dimensional shape data processor executes a processing for reducing the data quantity of object shape data in a prescribed form, which is generated based on measured data, by using two-dimensional picture data. Object shape data and two-dimensional data corresponding to the data are correspondingly stored in a memory.
