Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the fail-safe capability of the interface between a brake electric operating device and an inverter control device. SOLUTION: A brake electric operating device 1 requests braking torque according to the step command of a brake handle from a master controller. An inverter control device 2 develops regenerative braking force corresponding to the braking torque. The regenerative braking force and the braking torque command value are compared with each other using the brake electric operating device 1 and the inverter control device 2, and the difference between them is supplemented using an air brake, and the brake of an inverter electric railcar is thereby controlled. In this case, which of the braking torque command value and calculated actual regenerative braking force is the smaller is employed as the regenerative force to be compared. |
