Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the change of the direction of revolution of a small-sized motor where the rotor is equipped with a permanent magnet, by so constituting the vacant space between an auxiliary magnetic pole and the rotor as be longer enough than the vacant space between the main magnetic pole and the rotor, and also, connecting the main winding and the auxiliary winding directly to a single-phase power source. SOLUTION: A main magnetic pole 1-1 is planted inside the yoke of a stator, and main winding 2 is wound, and an arm-shaped rotor 8 equipped with a permanent magnet through vacant space is arranged on its inside. On the other side, a stator where an auxiliary magnetic pole 3-1 is planted through vacant space is provided inside the rotor 8, and auxiliary winding 4 is wound astride the auxiliary magnetic pole 3-1 and a pole shoe 10. This way, the length of the vacant space between the auxiliary magnetic pole 3-1 and the inner face of the rotor 8 is made longer enough than the vacant space between the main magnetic pole 1-1 and the periphery of the rotor 8, and a single-phase AC power source is connected directly to the main winding 2 and the auxiliary winding 4. Hereby, the direction of the rotation can be changed by only the change of connection of winding without connecting the capacitor.
