Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the communication control with a host CPU by a communication controller in even a different communication protocol by selecting either one of a LAN control CPU or a communication control CPU. SOLUTION: When a LAN 1 is selected by a switch 3, the communication control CPU 6 of a LAN 2 is in a reset state and becomes high impedance, and a data bus does not collide with the LAN control CPU 4 of the LAN 1. In this state, the driver 5 connected with the LAN 1 converts a transmission signal into digital data, the competition control of the communication between each terminal is performed by the CPU 14, the telegraphic message to the address of a communication controller 9 is received by the CPU 4 and the communication with a host CPU 1 is performed by a dual port memory 2 via the bus. In the same way, when the LAN 2 is selected by the switch 3, the CPU 4 becomes high impedance and the bus does not collide with the CPU 6 of the LAN 2.
