Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operation the properties of economic properties by preventing a remaining slurry fuel in a slurry flow passage from being set upon the slurry fuel being interrupted and hereby facilitating restarting. SOLUTION: A slurry supply nozzle 110 of a fluidized bed furnace including a cooling water flow passage 3 is adapted such that it supplies a slurry fuel 113 supplied to a slurry flow passage 1 to the fluidized bed furnace through sprayed air 51, and the slurry flow passage 1 is cooled to prevent the slurry fuel 113 from being set. In the slurry supply nozzle, a mechanism is provided on the cooling water flow passage 3 for cooling a wall of the slurry flow passage 1 to a predetermined temperature or lower, and a water injection conduit 9 is provided for injecting water to the tip end of the slurry fuel 113 remaining in the slurry flow passage 1 upon the supply of the slurry fuel 113 being interrupted.
