Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enlarge the capacity of a silo even if there is restriction on a building, by operating a damper corresponding to the kind or the grade of granular material to be pneumatically transported through an annular transport pipe, and turning a gate plate upward. SOLUTION: Coffee beans B to be pneumatically transported are transported in an annular transport pipe 4 provided above a plurality of containers and having the square section. In a damper 11 provided on a connecting part between the annular transport pipe 4 and the opening parts of respective containers, a gate plate 13 forming a part of a bottom plate of the annular transport pipe 4 is turned upward, the annular transport pipe 14 is blocked, simultaneously, the opening part of a lower container is opened, and then the coffee beans B are housed in the container through the opening part. Accordingly, the coffee beans B are distributed in the containers corresponding to their types and grades. Since a distributing device is constituted of the annular transport pipe 4 and the opening part of the container provided with the damper, and since it has the small capacity, the capacity of a silo to be installed under a device can be increased even if the height of the whole device is restricted.
