Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To purify water flowing though water channel by a simple method without separately providing intake equipment. SOLUTION: A weir 20 is provided on the way of a water channel 10 and a filter bed 30 is provided under the bottom surface 11b of a downstream water channel 10b so as to turn a filter direction upwardly to hold the weir 20. The upstream water channel 10 and the sludge sump part 31 under a downstream filter bed 30 supports the weir 20 are passed under the weir 20 to be allowed to communicate with each other by a water guide pipe 50. A filter bed 30 is constituted, for example, of the broken stone bed 33 laminated on the grating 32 provided on the sludge sump part 31 allowed to communicate with the upstream water channel 106 and a water guide pipe 50 and the round stone 34 further laminated thereof. A sludge discharge pipe 70 provided from the round ball bed 34 to the sludge sump part 31.
