Summary:PURPOSE: To obtain a compound oxide catalyst for the oxidation reaction of propylene and isobutylene by a method in which a mixed solution or aqueous slurry containing catalyst components is concentrated to dryness, and the dry product is added gradually into flowing gas of a specified temperature, salt- decomposed, and then sintered. CONSTITUTION: In a method for preparing a catalyst for the catalytic change reaction of propylene or isobutylene which is indicated by the formula of Moa Bib Fec Ad Be Cf Dg Ox (where A is nickel or cobalt; B is Mn, zinc, calcium, magnesium, tin, or lead; C is phosphorus, boron, arsenic, tellurium, tungsten, antimony, or silicon; D is potassium, rubidium, cesium, or thallium; and x is a value determined by the oxidation condition of each element.), a mixed solution or aqueous slurry containing catalyst components is concentrated to dryness, and the obtained dry product is added gradually into flowing gas which is kept at a specified temperature in a range of 200-450 deg.C, and salt-decomposed, and then sintered.
