PURPOSE: To provide radio communication equipment which informs of the valid/invalid of the establishment of a radio communication channel by trying a communication procedure to establish the radio communication channel after an incoming call is received by a pager function. CONSTITUTION: A control part 10 executes communication control processing according to a communication control processing program stored in a ROW 12, and controls the operation of each part, and controls the display of a telephone number inputted from a key input part 14 and the reception of the incoming call on a display part 15, etc., and also, executes incoming call processing according to an incoming call processing program. When a call detection signal is inputted from a pager reception part 9 and the incoming call is received a power supply voltage generated in a power part 13 is started to be supply to a transmission/reception part 3 and a communication processing part 4 which comprise a PHP main body, and the communication control procedure to establish a radio communication control channel is executed by controlling the communication processing part 4 via a public radio base station, and processing to inform of whether or not its own station is located in a public radio station zone is performed based on a communication result.
