PURPOSE: To provide a machine translation device which can output the proper result of translation and which makes even a user who does not know a second language to supply a case element lacked or a case element with possibility to be lacked at the time of translation to a source sentence easily and suitably. CONSTITUTION: This machine translation device is composed of an input part 1 for inputting and supplying a first language to execute the translation, translating part 2 for performing processing to translate the first language inputted from the input part 1 to the second language, lacked case element recognizing part 4 for recognizing the lacked case element from the information of case elements provided at the time of translation processing, first language generating part 5 for generating the first language by filling the source sentence with the recognized lacked case element, and display part 3 for displaying the first language inputted by the input part 1 and the second language of the translated result translated at the translating part 2, displaying the first language generated by the first language generating part 5 while adding features, and displaying the candidates of the case element with the possibility of omission.
