Summary: | PURPOSE: To provide a direct memory access device which can be widely used and is expandable and can reduce the overhead of data transfer and a data transfer device equipped with the direct memory access device. CONSTITUTION: As for a DMAC 250 which calculates the addresses of the acquisition destination and transfer destination of data to be transferred by sequentially executing an instruction string stored in an instruction memory 201, a decoder 202 outputs a standby period and branch conditions specified by a standby and branch instruction to a standby counter 208 and a condition decision part 209 when the decoder 202 decodes the standby and branch instruction. The standby counter 208 counts the standby period and the condition decision part 29 decides the branch conditions. A program counter 205 performs branching to a branch destination address stored in a branch address part 210 when the branch conditions are established during the standby period, and counts the address of an instruction following the standby and branch instruction when it is not. |
