Summary:PURPOSE: To reduce the man-hour of assembling work and to improve and stabilize the performance by constituting the converter where quarter-wave phase plates formed to inclined fins are symmetrically arranged on the inside face of a cylindrical waveguide as one body. CONSTITUTION: In a circularly-linearly polarized wave converter 30, a primary radiator 11 is provided in one end side of a round waveguide 6, and a taper aperture part 16 and a corrugate circuit 20 are arranged. The other end of the round waveguide 6 is closed, and quarter-wave phase plates 2 are arranged symmetrically with respect to an axis 17 up to the terminal part of the waveguide. The circularly-linearly polarized wave converter 30 consisting of the primary radiator 11, the corrugate circuit 20, phase plates 2, an excitation slot 12, etc., is formed as one body with metallic members such as Al and Zn by injection molding. Phase plates 2 are arranged at a prescribed angle to the perpendicular axis of the round waveguide 6, and inclined parts 2A are so formed that their height is made rower toward the aperture part 16 to form the radiation fins.
