Summary:PURPOSE: To provide an image-forming device which forms high quality images on both sides of transfer paper by completely removing toner sticking to the back of transfer paper, at the time of image formation using both-side mode. CONSTITUTION: The transfer paper is brought into contact with a photosensitive drum from the rear by means of a transfer member, a toner image formed on the photosensitive drum is transferred to the surface of the transfer paper by means of a transfer unit, and the toner image transferred to the transfer paper is fixed to it by the application of heat from the front of the transfer paper by means of a fixing roller 15b, having a fixing heater 15a, and a pressure roller 15c. Then, the transfer paper is carried by being held between the pressure roller 21 and the cleaning brush 22, and toner sticking to the rear of the transfer paper being carried between a pressure roller 21 and a cleaning brush 22 is clearly scraped by means of the looped fibers of the cleaning brush 22, thereby performing the preprocessing for image formation on the rear of the transfer paper.
