Summary:PURPOSE: To obtain a microporous material which consists of a three- dimensional continuous meshed skeleton with microfine uniform cells, is excellent in heat resistance and has a high modulus of elasticity and therefore can open up wide application. CONSTITUTION: This microporous material is obtained by mixing a crystalline thermoplastic, such as an olefinic thermoplastic, with a low-molecular material and then removing the low-molecular material, and it consists of a three- dimensional continuous meshed skeleton of an average diameter of at most 10μm with the cells of an average diameter of at most 100μm.
