Summary:PURPOSE: To stop gas supply automatically without using human labor by furnishing a valve, which introduces gas into a vacuum vessel, internally with a means to stop the gas automatically when the pressure in the vacuum vessel is equal to the atmospheric pressure, or when higher than the atmospheric. CONSTITUTION: The body 1 of an automatic gas stopping valve is connected at the seal surface with a manual valve. When the manual valve is opened to introduce dry nitrogen into a vacuum vessel, a piston 2 of the body 1 of valve is drawn by the vacuum to move right. A shaft 4 in a single piece with the piston 2 is in the condition set off from a notch 3 in the piston 2 and is lifted, and an opening/closing valve 5 is left open. Thereby the dry nitrogen is introduced to the vacuum vessel upon passing through an inlet R and supply port 7. When the pressure in the vacuum vessel approaches the atmospheric pressure, the piston 2 is moved left, and the shaft 4 falls into the notch 3 to close the opening/closing valve 5.
