Summary: | PURPOSE:To obtain a rigid and small-sized acceleration converter having high natural frequency and strain output sensitivity and excellent in long term stability, hysteresis characteristics and creep characteristic in which the assembling work and repairing work are facilitated. CONSTITUTION:The acceleration converter comprises a cantilever beam 3 comprising a driven part 3a, a flexible part 3d, and a weight part 3e, a pair of reinforcing membranes 4, 5, insulating films 6, 7, four strain gauges SG1-SG4, and a casing 1 (with cover 1a). When the driven part 3a is subjected to vibration or impact from an object 2, the weight part 3e is pivoted about the flexible part 3d relatively to driven part 3a by the inertial force. Consequently, tensile or compressive strain is generated in the reinforcing membranes 4, 5. The strain is detected by means of the strain gauges SG1-SG4 fixed to the reinforcing membranes 4, 5 through the insulating films 6, 7. |
