Summary:PURPOSE:To produce the subject heat-shielding sheet material capable of hot melt sewing by putting a specified flame-retardant opaque colored layer, a reflective layer and a semitransparent colored layer in order in layers through an adhesive on the surface of a textile base sheet. CONSTITUTION:This heat-shielding sheet material is produced by putting a flame- retardant opaque colored layer composed of vinyl chloride resin containing a halogen- containing phosphate-based compound, etc., as a flame retardant and a pigment, a reflective layer of vinyl chloride resin containing an aluminum powder and a semitransparent colored layer of vinyl chloride containing a small amount of a pigment in order in layers through an adhesive layer (preferable example; two-pack type ester- based polyurethane resin) on the surface of a textile base sheet preferably composed of a canvas woven from cotton yarns, polyester yarns, PVA yarns, etc. In addition, if a colored layer of vinyl chloride resin or acrylic resin respectively containing a pigment is formed on the back of the base sheet, a pair of these sheets can be sewn together according to the hot melt method by using a high-frequency welder after putting the right side of one of the sheets on the back side of the other sheet. In this method, a pair of sheets can be bonded without requiring sewing by a sewing machine and water resistance of the back and stain resistance are also improved. This sheet is not see-through from the back side and excellent.
