PURPOSE:To provide a high performance base isolation structural body which is prevented from being influenced by wind oscillation by disposing support legs outside of a layered structure. CONSTITUTION:In a base isolation structural body wherein a plurality of rigid plates having rigidity and soft plates having viscoelastic nature are alternately layered, support legs 1 are arranged outside of a layered structure 2. The support leg 1 may be formed in any shape, such as a cylindrical, a hexagonal columnar, and an octagonal columnar shape, but in such a state not to be moved but fixed against oscillation due to wind. The layered structure has maneuverability to some extent so as to follow vibration against microvibration, such as traffic vibration. During the occurrence of an earthquake, it is desirable that one of the support legs 1 is completely displaced and the layered structure 2 is brought into a state to freely receive earthquake vibration. The number of the support legs 1 is not specially limited.
