Summary:PURPOSE:To obtain a solid-state laser device capable of generating a laser beam of a UV region with high efficiency by providing this device with means for generating a specific third laser beam by interaction of first and second laser beams. CONSTITUTION:A first laser input 41 which is exciting light is partly absorbed in a Cr laser crystal 21 to excite this laser crystal 21. The radiated light from the laser crystal 21 is oscillated by a resonator structure 20 including the excited laser crystal 21, by which the second laser beam 42 is obtd. Of the first laser beam 41, part of the laser beam transmitted through the laser crystal 21 is made incident together with the second laser beam 42 in a nonlinear optical crystal 31 arranged within the resonator. Further, the third laser beam 43 of a wavelength 360 to 400nm is generated by the interaction of the first and second laser beams 41, 42 in the nonlinear optical crystal 31 and is emitted. Then, the laser beam of the UV region of the wavelength <=400nm is stably obtd with high efficiency.
