Summary:PURPOSE: To provide a braid tube which is not allowed to break or buckle when an electrode plate of a clad type lead-acid battery is assembled owing to having sufficiently high strength. CONSTITUTION: A braid sleeve 10 is passed in the through hole 12a of a forming member 12 positioning an expanding tool 11 so that the braid sleeve 10 is expanded to cylindrical. As shifting the braid sleeve 10 without bending in a longitudinal direction, phenol resin emulsion is caused to flow down from a flowing down device 13 of curing agent solution as holding an expanded state so that the braid sleeve 10 is impregnated with the curing agent solution so as to obtain 5 percentage by weight of deposit rate. The braid sleeve 10 is passed in a drying machine 14 so as to dry and cure the curing agent solution. By continuously conducting works in the order of these drying processes, the braid sleeve 15 is manufactured.
