Summary:PURPOSE: To suppress the occurrence of resonance phenomenon in an elastic member and to improve the sensitivity characteristic by filling a viscoelastic material into plural numbers of elastic members for supporting a bobbin member and mutually connecting them. CONSTITUTION: Viscoelastic materials 80, 81 are filled into the opposed intervals of vertically opposed elastic members 20A-20D for supporting a bobbin member 5, on which an objective lens, a focusing coil and a tracking coil are assembled, being freely and elastically displaced in the focusing and tracking directions. The elastic members 20A-20D are connected to each other. Vertically opposed elastic members 20A-20D are deformed in mutually reversed phases at the time of driving the objective lens, the viscoelastic materials 80, 81 filled into the opposed intervals are subjected to shearing deformation and the action of resonance suppression by viscoelastic materials 80, 81 are exhibited. Consequently, when the objective lens is driven in the focusing direction, resonance in the focusing direction at the primary resonant frequency is suppressed.
