Summary:PURPOSE: To shorten the assembly work process and to automate the assembly work by assembling a motor and a magnetic head without adjustment in a entire assembly process. CONSTITUTION: A pedestal 1 is equipped integrally with a bottom plate 4 and a pair of right and left side plate 5 and 6 at both side ends of the bottom plate 4, and the upper surface of the bottom plate 4 is formed to be a card guiding surface 8 for guiding the lower surface of a magnetic card. A motor 25 is fitted via a motor fitting bracket 30 to the outer side surface of the side plate 6, and a worm 27 is fitted to the output shaft 26 of the motor 25. The rotation of the motor 25 s transmitted via a worm wheel 28 meshed with the worm 27 to a transmitting shaft 22b. The transmitting shaft 22b is freely rotatably supported by a bearing 21b, and has a touch roller 16 fitted to it which is in pressurized contact with the magnetic head 15. The magnetic head 15 is fitted via a head bracket 51 to the inner side surface of the side plate 6. Then, the motor fitting bracket 30 and the head bracket 51 are fitted to the bearing 21b through their positioning fitting hole and centering fitting hole.
