Summary:PURPOSE: To perform a correction without being conscious of other peripheral equipment by showing the corrected part of a program by the relative location of a pointer located at the closest location before a corrected location and transmitting the part to a PC. CONSTITUTION: This controller is provided with a peripheral equipment side program correction means 20 reflecting the data inputted from a keyboard 4 on a program, a peripheral equipment side pointer retrieval means 21, a relative step conversion means 22, a peripheral equipment side communication means 22 transmitting corrected contents to a programmable controller(PC), a correction result display means 24 displaying the contents of the program and the PC, a PC side communication means 30 receiving the corrected program, a PC side pointer retrieval means 31, an absolute step conversion means 32 and a PC side program correction means 33 reflecting the corrected contents to the program of the PC. The pointer located at the closest location before a corrected location of the pointers embedded in the program is retrieved, the corrected part of the program is shown by the relative location from the pointer and the part is transmitted to the PC.
