Summary: | PURPOSE: To prepare a hollow fiber membrane module capable of stable membrane separation over a long period of time as well as to tightly bond and fix an assembly of hollow fiber membranes by precuring epoxy resin at a specified rate of reaction in a specified time and post-curing it at a temp. above the procuring temp. CONSTITUTION: When the ends of an assembly of hollow fiber membranes are sealed and fixed with an adhesive consisting of epoxy resin and a cationic or anionic polymn. type curing agent, the epoxy resin is precured so that 40-75% rate of reaction is attained in >=2hr and it is post-cured at a temp. above the precuring temp. The epoxy resin preferably contains a multifunctional epoxy resin other than a bifunctional epoxy resin by >=10wt.% of the total amt. A boron trifluoride-amine complex is preferably used as the cationic polymn. type curing agent from the viewpoint of solubility to the epoxy resin and the strength of a cured body. The exothermic reaction temp. at the time of curing the adhesive can be reduced and a cured body excellent in solvent resistance, heat resistance and strength is obtd. |
