Summary:PURPOSE: To improve miniaturization and productivity by stably operating a squelch circuit and making an amplifier unit common to channels. CONSTITUTION: The television reception signal inputted to an input filter unit 11 has a prescribed channel selected by a first input filter 21 and is sent to an amplifier unit 12 through an amplifier 22 and a second input filter 23. The signal inputted to the amplifier unit 12 is inputted to a squelch circuit 34 through an amplifier 31, an AGC circuit 32, and an amplifier 33. The squelch circuit 34 performs the normal output operation in the state of reception of a broadcast signal of its own channel to output the signal amplified by the amplifier 33 to an output filter unit 13. When broadcast of its own channel is terminated, the squelch control signal goes to zero or a very low level, and the squelch circuit an stops signal output to the output filter unit 13.
