Summary:PURPOSE: To simplify the setting structure of an alternator without entailing what with impairing an adjusting function of belt tension and what with lowering an extent of assembling efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A lower part of alternator 2 is pivoted to an engine body 1, and an upper part of this alternator 2 is attached tight to a bracket 8 locked to this engine body 1 through a first bolt 9, by a second bolt 11. In addition, a long groove hole 10 of this bracket 8 is so formed that a part being close to a base end of the bracket 8 becomes narrower and a part being close to a tip wider respectively, and further a groove width of a part being close to the base end out of the long groove hole 10 is set to a size in which a shank of the second bolt 11 is just fitted precisely. In a state that the second bolt 11 is fitted in the part being close to the base end of the long groove hole 10, the first bolt 9 is tightened, whereby a position of the bracket 8 is automatically determined.
