PURPOSE: To surely prevent the needle hole section of a needle from being broken or scattered by specifying the hardness of the needle hole section of the needle, and make it easy to bend. CONSTITUTION: A needle is integrally arranged with a shank section 2 expanded in diameter, a taper section 3, an extension section 4 shrunk in diameter, a scoop section 5, a rectangular needle hole section 6 penetrated with a needle thread and supporting it, and a sharp needle tip section 7 from the end section toward the tip section of a needle wire raw material 1 made of a piano steel hard wire. A thread groove preventing the cutting or entangling of the thread is formed in the axial direction at the center between the taper section 3 and the extension section 4, and the extension section 4 has a high hardness of about 700Hv. In the final manufacturing process that the needle is almost completed, the needle hole section 6 is partially reheated and tempered by high frequency or laser radiation, and the hardness is set to 600Hv or below, preferably to the range of 150-350Hv. The ductility of the needle hole section 6 is increased, and the breakage of the needle hole section 6 or the scattering of small pieces of the broken needle is prevented.
