Summary: | PURPOSE: To easily and stably smelt a dead-soft steel in high Mn yield and in a short time by executing the vacuum degassing treatment of molten steel, adding a metallic Mn, etc., in a low vacuum degree after Al-deoxidizing in a target extreme low carbon concn. and executing the component adjustment. CONSTITUTION: The molten steel containing 0.04-0.07% carbon content at the time of stopping blowing in a converter is transferred into a ladle without adding ferro-alloy during steel-tapping, and further, charged into a vacuum- degassing treatment apparatus. The molten steel is subjected to decarburizing treatment to the target of <=0.005% carbon concn therein. This decarburizing treatment is desirable to be executed under the condition of <=5Torr of the setting vacuum degree while increasing oxygen concn. in the molten steel to >=400ppm by blowing the oxygen. Successively, Al is added into the molten steel to execute the deoxidation and free oxygen concn. in the molten steel is regulated to <=10ppm. Thereafter, the setting vacuum degree is controlled to >=65Torr and the metallic Mn is added to adjust the Mn concn. and further, components other than Al and Mn, are adjusted in accordance with the use. |
