PURPOSE: To obtain a hydrocarbon oil additive capable of providing lubricating oil excellent in antioxidant effect and extreme-pressure property and free from production of sludge by using a salt, etc., of phosphoric acid or phosphorous acid or its alkyl, aryl ester, etc. with an alkyl- or arylamine. CONSTITUTION: This hydrocarbon oil additive for lubricating oil compositions, etc., is obtained by blending one or more salts expressed by formula I [R is H, a 1-22C alkyl, a 3-22C alkenyl or a (substituted)6-10C aryl; R is a 1-22C alkyl, a 3-22C alkenyl or a (substituted)6-18C aryl; (a) is 1-3; (b) is 0-2; (n) is 1-3] with a salt expressed by formula II [R to R are each a 1-18C alkyl or a 2-18C alkenyl; R and R are each H, a 1-22C alkyl, a 3-22C alkenyl or a (substituted)phenyl; (a) is O-3; (e) and (b) are each 0-3; (g) is 0-4; (b) is 1 or 2; X is 0.7-6], a salt expressed by formula III [(i) is O-3; (j) and (k) are each 0-3; (r) is 0-4; (s) is 1-3; (t) and (u) are each 0-2; (s+t+u)=3; Y is 0.7-6] in a molar ratio of 10/1 to 1/8.
