Summary:PURPOSE: To position volume data linearly only by specifying corresponding points in order by performing a coordinate transforming process wherein the errors from the corresponding points including corresponding part specified coordinates before the corresponding part specified coordinates are inputted become minimum in order for volume data whose coordinates are to be transformed. CONSTITUTION: The corresponding part specified coordinates are inputted, point by point, to volume data 101 and 102, and the coordinate transforming process 103 when there is one corresponding part as to the volume data 102 is performed so that the coordinate position of each specified corresponding part is coincident. Then corresponding part specified coordinates are added, one by one, and in the case of volume data 104 and 105, a coordinate transforming process when there are two corresponding parts as to the volume data 105 is performed so that the coordinate positions of every two corresponding parts are coincident. Here, the volume data 101 and 104 are reference volume data. Further, processing is performed similarly even when corresponding part specified coordinates are added.
