Summary:PURPOSE: To improve the operability of power-OFF processing by generating an instruction for turning OFF a device power source and turning OFF the device power source when a card into the card reader is a clerk's card for the power-OFF instruction. CONSTITUTION: When a user card is inserted into the card reader 2, the information processor 1 with the card reader performs data processing interactively with a display screen. A 1st judging means 11 that the card is not a user card, but a clerk's card according to recording data of a card inserted into the card reader 2 and when the 1st judging means 11 judges the clerk's card, a 2nd judging means 12 judges whether or not the clerk card indicates power-OFF operation according to the recording data of the clerk's card. When the 2nd judging means 12 judges that the card is the clerk's card indicating the power- OFF operation, a disconnecting means 8 issues the disconnection indication for the device power source to a power source control means 3, which turns OFF the device power source.
