Summary:PURPOSE: To permit the control of a heating amount so as to be a desired value while retaining a steam pressure or a condensing temperature in constant at all times by a method wherein the heating amount is adjusted by increasing or decreasing the level of condensed water stagnating in a steam flowing space, employing a draining means and water feeding means. CONSTITUTION: Condensed water, generated upon start up, is reserved previously in a heat exchanger 2 and a shock-absorbing tank 3 to a predetermined water level or, otherwise, supplying water for a steam generator 1 and the like are introduced from an external source. The amount of said water is set in accordance with the control zone of amount of heating of the heat exchanger 2. The operation of valves V2, V3, V4 for increasing or reducing the water level of an empty chamber 2c and the shock-absorbing tank 3 to obtain desired necessary amount of heating is controlled by a water level difference controller 8 and a control circuit 6 based on respective input signals from a temperature detector 7 and both water level transmittors 5, 9. According to this method, the amount of heating can be adjusted so as to be a desired amount and great fluctuation of pressure and temperature can be avoided while maintaining a steam pressure and a condensing temperature at preferable constant values as they are.
