Summary:PURPOSE:To lubricate sliding faces without increasing circulating oil quantity by guiding lubricating oil guided to sliding parts between a cam, and a cam follower to sliding parts making slidably contact with the head part of a valve in an oil path provided in the first locker arm. CONSTITUTION:Lubrication oil is guided to cam faces of a high-speed cam 9 and low-speed cams 10 matching to oil supply holes 41A and 41B of an oil supply pipe 41 respectively and lubricates sliding faces between the low-speed cams 10 and cam followers 4 and a sliding face between the high-speed cam 9 and a cam flower 7. After it lubricates the sliding faces between the low-speed cams 10 and the cam followers 4, it is guided to sliding faces between the shaft head of a valve shaft and the tip part of a main locker arm 1 along the oil grooves 42 so as to form a oil film. The sliding faces between the cams and the cam followers are thus lubricated by oil supply from the same oil supply pipe. At the same time, in operating especially in low speed, oil used for lubrication and oil flowing down between the high-speed cam and the low- speed cams are guided to the oil grooves 42 so as to lubricate the sliding faces between the valve shaft and the tip part of the locker arm 1.
