Summary:PURPOSE: To provide a method for recovering a nuclear cell, e.g. a leukocyte from a sample such as blood without using a method such as centrifugation or filtration and taking out a nucleic acid or a protein present in the nuclear cell. CONSTITUTION: A nuclear cell is adsorbed from a sample containing the nuclear cell by using an ultrafine fiber assembly having properties of adsorbing the nuclear cell without adsorbing an nucleate cell, e.g. an ultrafine fiber assembly having 1-5μm fiber diameter of the ultrafine fiber such as of polyester, polypropylene or nylon., and 0.1-0.4g/cm filling ratio thereof based on a container. A nucleic acid or a protein in the resultant nuclear cell is then recovered.
