Summary:PURPOSE: To provide a ventilating fan capable of cooling an air supply fan without being affected by indoor atmosphere by providing a separate motor cooling air passage independently of an indoor exhausting air passage in order to take outdoor air into the motor cooling air passage. CONSTITUTION: A double suction type centrifugal fan 4 having openings 4c, 4d at both ends is mounted on an air supplying fan 3 installed within a main body case 2. Indoor air is sucked from an exhausting fan 4a opposite to the air supplying fan motor 3 of the double suction type centrifugal fan 4 and is exhausted from an exhaust opening 2a opened in a ceiling portion of the main body case 2 and outdoor air is sucked through a suction opening 2b opened in a side wall of the main body case by a cooling fan 4b located on the air supplying motor 3 side of the double suction type centrifugal fan 4 and is cooled by passing through the air supplying motor 3 before being exhausted through the exhaust opening 2a.
