Summary:PURPOSE: To provide a method for producing a new anticorrosive layer-covered cable, not leaving a strain causing cracks, etc., and by which a fine and beautiful depressed processing can be applied to the cable. CONSTITUTION: The method for producing an anticorrosive layer-covered cable comprises extruding a thermoplastic resin on a cable core 1 to form an anticorrosive layer 3 covering the core 1, and after cooling the covering anticorrosive layer 3, again heating the arbitrary place of the surface of the solidified anticorrosive layer 3, subjecting the softened part 10 to a depressing processing into the shape of a letter, a figure or their combination and subsequently cooling the depressed part 10a to solidify the shape.
