Summary:PURPOSE: To provide a sulfuric acid bath for tin plating used for producing an electroplated tin plate and a thin tin plated steel sheet, low in cost and exhibiting excellent performance. CONSTITUTION: The sulfuric acid bath for tin plating excellent in tin solubility and sludge depressing effect contains 5-50g/l sulfuric acid, 5-40g/l tin (11), a brightener and 2-10g/l sludge depressant as essentail components. The steel strip is tin-plated by electrodepositing tin thereon with the plating bath at the bath temp. of 30-70 deg.C with current density of 5-50A/dm . Further, the tin plating is executed by blowing high concn. oxygen at the time of supplying tin (II) to the plating bath. The excellent tin-solubility and sludge depressing effect are secured by using the sulfuric acid bath.
