Summary:PURPOSE: To provide an ink jet head and a manufacturing method therefor capable of achieving an arrangement of nozzles suitable for matrix driving and of reducing a cost wherein an energy generating means for ejecting an ink and a driving means therefor are respectively formed on substrates and the substrate are stuck to each other. CONSTITUTION: An ink jet head comprises at least one set of a nozzle plate 12 to which a nozzle section 9 for ejecting an ink 6 is provided, a substrate 17 opposing to the nozzle plate 12, a wall member 14 that connects the nozzle plate 12 with the substrate 17, a pressure chamber 13 constituted of parts of each of the nozzle plate 12 and the substrate 17 and the wall member 14 and an energy generating means 8 provided in the pressure chamber 13. When the energy generating mans 8 is driven, the ink jet head ejects an ink 6 from the corresponding nozzle section 9. A driving means 11 for driving the energy generating means 8 is provided to either of opposing faces of the nozzle plate 12 and the substrate 17.
