PURPOSE: To provide the radio channel changeover method in which communication quality is quickly recovered by a method suitable for a state of a point of time when the communication quality is deteriorated. CONSTITUTION: A reception level of an interference wave coming from a peripheral cell is measured in the step SA1. A total number (n) of radio channels where a reception level of the interference wave is a prescribed level or over is obtained in the step SA2. An in-cell/inter-cell channel switching level K is calculated based on a prescribed equation (K=K0 -a×n) in the step SA3. When deterioration in communication quality is caused (step SB1), whether or not a reception level of a desired wave is the in-cell/inter-cell channel switching level K or over is discriminated in the step SB2. When the result of discrimination is affirmative, the in-cell channel changeover is conducted (step SB3). On the other hand, when the result of discrimination is negative, the inter-cell channel changeover is conducted (step SB4).
