PURPOSE: To provide video and audio service for a large number of places. CONSTITUTION: A control room 10 is provided with a game data file 108 storing plural video sources and plural video game software programs and a status memory 106 storing the usage conditions of all the video sources and any usable video source is selected while referring to the status memory 106 according to a service request from a guest room. When the service request indicates a video game, its game program is transferred from the game data file 108 to a usable video game unit and by executing the program at that unit, the video and audio signal picture elements of the video game are transmitted to that guest room. When the service request indicates any video work, a usable video recorder is controlled and the video and audio signals of the requested video work are transmitted to that guest room.
