Summary:PURPOSE: To provide the quadrature modulator which improves the conversion precision and reduces the power consumption. CONSTITUTION: A mixer 1 for modulation modulates an input signal I based on a carrier Lo to output complementary modulation signals RF1 and the inverse of RF1. A mixer 2 for modulation modulates an input signal Q based on the carrier Lo to output complementary modulation signals RF2 and the inverse of RF2. A multipolar 90 deg. RC phase shifter 3 is provided with a 90 deg. RC phase shifter 4 having the cut-off frequency determined by a resistor R1 and a capacitor C1 and a 90 deg. RC phase shifter 5 having the cut-off frequency determined by a resistor R2 and a capacitor C2. The phase shifts 4 shifts phases of modulation signals RF1 and the inverse or urn by 90 deg., and the phase shifter 5 shifts phases of modulation signals RF2 and the inverse of R2 by 90 deg.. Adders 6a and 6b add the outputs of phase shifters 4 and 5.
